    Pretty easy process. The guy at the counter was great. I think his name was Kurt. There prices were better than other companies and they upgraded me to an suv when my car wasn't ready. Easy return process. I would suggest taking pics and video at pickup because I did read some people had problems when returning.and being charged. I did not.

    Switch and bait. I reserved a vehicle through Expedia. I needed a 4x4 for a work trip. I show up at the NOLA branch and am told that the Tacoma Truck was not available. So they were going to give me another 4x4 for a reduced price of $25 per day. I have now been charged for the Tacoma Truck that was not there and the "upgrade" of the different vehicle. Staff did NOT put in any notes in the reservation that the Tacoma Truck was not available. So it looks like i asked for an upgrade. This is fraud.

    I had a confirmed, prepaid reservation through Expedia with SIXT in New Orleans, completed online check-in, and my credit card was charged in advance. When I arrived at the counter, I was told they had no cars available. The agent was dismissive, would not provide any written confirmation of the issue, and refused to assist with a solution. I was simply told to contact Expedia for a refund and that there was nothing they could do. No attempt was made to help rebook, locate another vehicle, or even document the situation. This left us stranded and forced to scramble for alternate transportation at additional cost and inconvenience. A prepaid reservation should mean something. If inventory is not guaranteed, that needs to be made clear upfront—not discovered at the counter after you’ve already paid. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service. I would strongly recommend confirming availability directly or using another rental company.

    Crystal at the front desk was amazing — she literally saved me from a huge problem. I returned the car at 5:00 AM and dropped the keys in the return box, only to realize moments later that I had locked my phone inside the car. The office wasn’t supposed to open until 6:00 AM, and my flight was at 7:00 AM. Since you also need to take a shuttle to the airport — and the airport is notorious for long security lines — I was convinced I was going to miss my flight. I rushed to the front desk, and Crystal was already there at 5:20 AM, even before her shift officially started. She was incredibly kind and supportive, and she did everything she could to help. She first tried several times to reach the staff member responsible for the upstairs parking area, hoping they could come early, but no one showed up. So Crystal took the initiative herself. She found a large set of keys, went upstairs with me, and worked through a complicated lock box system — even though she had never done it before. She was literally on her knees trying key after key until she finally managed to open it. I got my phone back and made my flight on time. Honestly, companies should recognize and reward employees like Crystal. I was genuinely blown away by the effort she put into solving a problem that was entirely caused by my own carelessness. The usual rental experience itself was smooth as well: the car was very clean, the instructions were clear, and everything else went seamlessly. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was Crystal. The next time I’m in New Orleans, I’ll choose Sixt again because of her. Crystal deserves a raise!

    Horrible customer service and questionable business practices. I strongly recommend renting from any other company. I did not get the vehicle that was reserved online.(FULL SIZE SUV) The employee who assisted was very RUDE ! Instead of being accommodating. I had to walk around the parking lot and look for a vehicle that was comparable to what I had initially reserved myself instead of it being offered by management . Higher rates were charged to my account without my consent . The lack of professionalism and unwillingness to honor the reservation was very frustrating. Based on this experience, it’s not surprising they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau! Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else!
