  I had an appointment scheduled in advance with Express Oil Change in Hammond for a tire rotation and balance. Apparently the technician was preparing to leave for the day when I got there even though I had scheduled an appointment and was annoyed at having to do my maintenance. He stated he would balance it and I replied ‘yes and also the tire rotation’ (all in my appointment confirmation email. As soon as I said that he rolled his eyes and proceeded to tell me that two of my tires were too worn and couldn’t rotate them but could price two new ones. I told him I had just purchased all 4 tires about 2 weeks ago. I did get them used from a wonderful shop (Robert Tire) in Robert but that they are in good condition. I I know this for sure because I took my car (a Malibu) to Ross Downing Chevrolet just one week after I got the tires for a separate issue and they confirmed the tires were in good condition. This guy just wanted to leave and refused to do the rotation. So I left and called Mavis Tires and Breaks and asked if they could possibly squeeze me in today for a balance and rotation. It was about 2:30 pm so I wasn’t very hopeful but they were so polite and got me right in and did the maintenance I requested (no issues with wear on the tires was even mentioned). They did a courtesy inspection and talked to me about some additional maintenance they noticed that in already knew about. All I can say is Mavis’ staff are kind, accommodating folks that go above and beyond, even if it’s not exactly convenient for them. They did great work and the price was less than I was quoted at Express. All I can say is, they will always have my business from now on. Express… you had one very friendly technician who was happy to help do the job. And another tech who cost you money, a loyal customer, and will cause serious damage to your reputation if that is how business is done there on a regular basis.. thank you Mavis for saving the day and the good honest work you did for me. MUCH appreciated! Highly recommended!

  I am visiting from Charleston SC and had a flat, called Mavis NTB and they had me fixed up before my appointment time, were extremely professional and performed top notch tire care. Can’t say thank you enough for getting me back on the road!!

  Great service and staff!! Very helpful and informative. I didn’t feel pressured when making my decision about the 4 tires I needed to buy, like I was at other tire shops. Mr Allen was honest with me and made me feel comfortable with the choice of tires I made. Also Elke was very nice and answered questions for me while I waited for my car. I will definitely be back in the future and I will recommend Mavis in Hammond La, to all my family and friends. I hope this gets read by the owners or someone at corporate because Allen and Elke did a great job! Great employees!!

  On our way to the LSU game from N. LA and had a flat. We googled tire stores and found Mavis tires. They could not have been more professional, efficient, and friendly! Thank you Mavis Tires for getting us back on the road quickly! You are appreciated!!!
