I started thinking about the total being a little higher. Looked on my receipt and I was charged a 12mo ACP plan for $3.09. What? Nobody asked me anything about it. So apparently, after looking online, its an optional extended plan. Its a seperate purchase. This is poor business practices. I dont appreciate it. Start looking at your receipts. Im taking mine back today. Yeah, its only 3 bucks but its not the point. They actual stole money from me in an indirect way. Imagine how many people dont know.

I've been to all the stores and ended at Advance because of their folks like Joe and Linda. I have an classic truck that seems to always be needing something fixed as it ages (kinda like its owner). So, I dont just need the simple new battery or wipers, I often need some of the most obscure parts that are somewhat difficult to source. Because of their experience and expertise, Joe and Linda always find the part(s) I need. The staff at other stores have been too inexperienced, dont really know cars, or too impatient to work with me. I have also seen an even greater positive experience since the new store manager, Linda, has arrived. She is very personable, kind, and a wealth of parts knowledge. I've noticed the team there has really come together since she became the store's anchor. If I seem like a fan of this store, I am! Having to frequently obtain auto parts, I visit this store multiple times a week. I just need my own bar stool, as I feel like one of the regulars at "Cheers" ( showing my age).

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
