Because of this, he plans his routes carefully and reserves overnight parking spots to ensure he stays on schedule—every hour matters when it comes to getting home. Recently, he reserved a spot here and paid in full. However, when he arrived, there were no available parking spaces. An employee told him they could not ask anyone to move, so he was simply refunded and left to find parking elsewhere. He then spent over 30 minutes searching for a safe place to sleep. This easily could have cost him valuable home time. This situation is completely unacceptable. If a business allows drivers to reserve and pay for parking, those spots should be guaranteed—otherwise, it should be clearly advertised that reservations are not actually secure. Truck parking is already incredibly limited, which is exactly why my husband takes the extra step to plan ahead. Being turned away after paying defeats the purpose of offering reservations at all. This was a monthly stop for him, which is no longer a place that will receive his business. I urge every Truck Driver to be weary of this location when reservations for parking are vital to your route.
