  Prior to today, it’s been about 20 years since I have taken a vehicle to Valvoline for an oil change. I got in the habit of going to the dealership after having 3 yr free maintenance included with a new vehicle purchase. Today, I visited this location on Westport Rd. and was very impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the technicians. They seemed to take pride in their work and truly worked together as a team. I was offered things like upgraded “premium” oil, but they did not pressure me to purchase it or anything thing else other than what I came in for. They reset my vehicle’s maintenance reminder with ease. I was given a 10% discount as a new customer as well as a voucher for new windshield wipers on my next visit. The process was fast and it was great to be able to have my oil changed on a Sunday.

  I trust this team for the needs of all my vehicles. I used to be anxious about a Valvoline stop, afraid I’d get suckered into extra services because I needed them right away “or else you’d be stranded on the Gene Snyder.” Not at this store. The new management is top notch. Keenan and team helped me understand what the priority fixes were and what was actually required. Because of that transparency, I now bring our other vehicle to this location. Great team, highly recommend.

  Been coming here for years with no problems but today I went for an oil change and popped my hood and the guy couldn't open my hood then started using different tools and screwdrivers to try and pry it open. He then told me I hit something that bent my hood and the latch is broke which is impossible because I've never been in a wreck or bumped into anything with this car. Eventually he gave up and said he couldn't open it. I left and parked in an empty parking lot and immediately saw where he bent in my hood where he tried to pry it open and I know it's not from where he said I hit something because my hood did NOT look like that before I went to Valvoline. I popped the hood and found the hood release lever and the hood opened no problem. I closed it and popped the hood again to make sure it wasn't a fluke and sure enough I slid my hand under and hit the hood release and it opened up. I drove it down the road to the Brownsboro location and they opened my hood with no problems. But now I have a dented hood from where he tried to pry it open so I'm done with this location, which is unfortunate because everyone there is always awesome but this new dude messed up my hood and I don't want to be that guy that says I don't want him touching my car when he's there so I'm just going to go somewhere else.
