TERRIBLE. I recommend going to literally any other marina than this one. The incompetence and lack of care was baffling. To say the least, they failed to meet the bare minimum standards for safety, customer service, and boating equipment. It’s a miracle that this marina hasn’t gotten sued or put out of business. When we got to the marina, our double decker pontoon boat looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages (cobwebs, benches covered in dirt, etc.). When we left the harbor, our motor immediately started making a horrible noise, so we decided to stop the boat and check it out. But there was no anchor anywhere on the boat to keep us from moving. We looked at the motor and found that it was leaking a MASSIVE amount of fuel into the lake. But when we went to start the boat back up and drive back to the harbor, our steering wheel broke. So, we were left just sitting drifting in the lake and polluting the water. We found that the boat had none of the required safety equipment: no radio, no first aid kit, no anchor, no toolkit, no throwable flotation device, broken navigation lights, and no way to call for help. Only a couple of torn up life jackets. Should this have been an actual emergency, we’d be screwed. Despite us only being 5 minutes from the harbor, we called them and it took nearly 45 minutes for them to find us. In that time, we had drifted into a cove, and had to keep driving the boat forward and backward, and getting out to push it off from the shore to stop it from crashing into the edges of the cove and wrecking. Because again, no anchor, no steering wheel, no way to call for help. By the time they finally found us, the entire cove was covered in oil. They brought us a new boat, but were very rude, and acted like the situation was OUR fault and that it was an inconvenience to them that THEIR boat broke down. No apology and no thank you for us spending 45 minutes trying not to wreck their boat. When questioned about the equipment, they simply told us “oh our boats don’t have anchors or none of that.” So we got on the new boat they brought us, but any time we wanted to stop and swim, we had to put on our shoes, climb ashore, and drag the boat’s ropes up to tie them off to rocks/logs to stop from moving. Later in the day, a massive terrible storm came through that was too strong to drive back through. With no anchor or way to call for help, and knowing that the motor or wheel breaking on these boats was a possibility, we were left at the mercy of the weather. Having no way to stop the boat from moving, we got thrown around through the lake by the wind for over an hour and we feared we’d capsize. This left all of our belongings and electronics drenched, we were all freezing, and the cabin was covered in a giant puddle. We finally had the chance to make it to a shore, and in the lighting and the downpour, it took two of us to stop the boat from moving while another two of us trudged through the mud into the woods to find something strong enough to tie down to so that we could stop moving and wait out the storm. We got lucky that the situation didn’t get bad enough for us to capsize or for any of us to get injured, because once again, the lack of safety equipment would’ve left us stranded. When we got back to the marina after the storm, we demanded a refund. The front desk told us that we’d already paid so there was nothing they could do. WOW. So with this being their policy, this means that if there was no other free boat after our first one broke, they would’ve just taken our 430 dollars and sent us home?? Rather than giving us an apology and putting in any effort to find a way to make it right, WE were the ones that came back up to them with the idea of not paying for our gas for the day, which they agreed to. Long story short: the marina gave us a dirty and broken boat that had us stuck drifting and polluting the lake for an hour. They can’t be bothered to put basic safety equipment on their boats like anchors, and will be rude and won’t refund you for their own mistakes. Rent somewhere else.

We rented 2 different pontoon boats. both was messed up they One of them the gear shifter was broke and wouldn’t go over 20 mile an hour before it started cutting out both of them. The gas gauges was broke. Place needs some updating and maintenance done on equipment. NOT RECOMMENDED.
