I was recommended other services that I decided to go forward with. Afterwards, I was then notified by the manager, J’ace, that the lug nut and lug nut stud had broken off during the tire rotation. He then took a picture for me while still in the shop and informed me he would be completing an invoice Monday morning when customer service would be available and to have me send an email with my invoice attached. He also informed me that this is safe for me to drive with. This is extremely disappointing for me because I have been going to valvoline for years and always recommended them. I’m a travel nurse and have to make 15+ hour drives around the country. I have always used valvoline. After completing my payment and leaving the shop, the manager informed me that this is safe and I should be fine making that drive for my next contract the following day. He also informed me that there is nothing they can do about the broken lug nut in the shop. He said they do not have the supplies or tools to fix what they broken. After speaking to multiple people and my usual technician back at home, I am told this is in fact dangerous and can cause many complications to my car and endangerment to other drivers around me. The following day I went to the Subaru dealership and they were also highly disappointed because of dangerous it is to drive with a missing lug nut after the manager told me multiple times it was safe. I got it fixed there and Valvoline did reimburse me for it. I just don’t feel safe ever returning.
