  Always call in person to set it up an appointment, do not schedule the online appointments. I was charged twice at $371 and some change on a Friday,and could did not get my money back until Monday morning due to the customer service representatives were closed over the weekend. The technician was very unprofessional, he left both sides of my windshield exposed to the elements showing the pinch weld a quarter to half inch above the windshield. It wasn't like that prior to install. He had stated the pinch weld was bent, sounds like something he did in the process of removing the windshield. Not to mention shards of glass and seal remnants all over my dashboard was left. The first customer service call that I made regarding my windshield issues, sounded like he hated his job. I was nice and cordial with him because I knew it wasn't his fault. The second customer representative that I spoke to was was corporate in Ohio. She was so dissatisfied of the work that I received, and tried to do what she could to get a warranty technician out as soon as possible. Which neither one of us work happy with the outcome that I had to wait 5 days with all the weather elements going on. I even had to drive my wife's car to work to leave my car under the carport at home so I didn't take the chance of having other issues from water damage. My main concern was electrical issues from coming down onto the dash. Not saying that it would have leaked but from the looks from both sides of the windshield and the seal that was not flush to the windshield more than likely it would have leaked. I'm hoping the warranty technician that comes on 01-12-26 can repair what the previous so-called technician screwed up. I would not refer anyone Safelite. Beforehand I'd heard nothing but good things. One coworker can screw it up for the Outlook on a company.

  I recently took my car in to have my windshield replaced. I would recommend Safelite to anyone looking for excellent service.

  I've had to have my windshield replaced twice in the past 6 months. Both times because of a giant rock flying over and cracking my windshield. Safelite got both times done in under a week. The technicians were great. And the work is phenomenal. It's like looking through beautiful crystal glass. Fast and affordable.

  This company is absolutely awful to work with. Several years ago they damaged my camera and sensors after putting the wrong windshield on my car, causing thousands of dollars and a dozen hours of issues. Fast forward and I get a rock to my windshield; my insurance says deal with Safelite again. Never even make it to the appointment. They reschedule the time and location via automated text. I spend over an hour on with corporate getting transferred around. No one will let me speak with the local shop; it’s just “the person who changed the appointment is unavailable.” I was lied to, misled, and pushed around. I spoke to 3 people at the time I made the appointment and 4 people today, yet no one can actually help because the local shop must do it - but they also can’t transfer me to the local shop. So then I spend an hour telling my insurance I’ll be going elsewhere and getting that approved. Never ever use Safelite. Awful customer service. Also, they told me it takes 3 hours to change my windshield and recalibrate my sensors, but they’d prefer I drop my car at 7 am and pick up at 5 pm. Three other places said “I apologize but since we have to recalibrate, the appointment will take up to 90 minutes.” What is safelite doing if everyone else can do it in 90 minutes and says that is a long appointment?! Stay away from safelite - and know that there are other preferred providers even if your insurance doesn’t volunteer that information.
