I have never experienced this charge. Most concerning is my reservation & estimate did not disclose this charge and my drop off location was confirmed. My original estimate was $300 and my final charge was $867.00. I called customer service they were willing to refund me 1/2 of the mileage charge $250. I asked for %100 and the customer service rep said I declined the refund. They escalated my issue to the local branch without any timeline or explanation on how to follow up. If they are willing to refund %50, why not %100. I love the convenience and service from National, but this is just not a transparent good business practice. The tire pressure couldn’t be read and cruise control wouldn’t work. When I called during the rental time they said someone would help me at the drop off time and location, but they said only the pick up location can help. Customer service was terrible and kept passing me off to different departments. Issue not resolved.
