I had a shock Mount give up on me and I was stranded in Lexington, called them up and had an appointment in 30 minutes. The main Mechanic wasn’t there so the manager took it In his own hands to do it and didn’t even charge me. They take care of you well!

We had just arrived in town for a Dr. appointment regarding my husband's major heart issue when our gas tank started leaking heavily. It was a Sunday and Ken Towery was the only auto care open. We talked to the manager who was very helpful. We needed a new gas tank and he was able to complete the job by that Tuesday and my husband was able to make it back home for dialysis. We were 4 hours away from home. Would highly recommend

I’ve been coming to this Ken Towery for about 15 years. The service at this location has generally been fine, but the prices have gotten pretty high compared to other shops. My bigger issue now is the phone system. When you call Ken Towery, you get routed to an overseas call center before you can even speak to the local shop. If I’m calling a local business, I expect to talk to someone at that location—not a call center that then transfers me. I also had a small but frustrating experience during my last visit. I had custom metal tire valve stem caps that cost about $20. The staff apparently didn’t pay attention and just threw them away when working on the tires. It’s not the end of the world, but it shows a lack of attention to customer property. This isn’t really a knock on the employees themselves, but between the rising prices, the call center setup, and small details like that getting overlooked, I’ll probably start looking for a different local shop next time.

I recently had a used vehicle inspected before completing a purchase, and the experience I had at Ken Towery Tire and Auto on South Broadway in Lexington, KY, was exceptional. From the moment I reached out, the team was professional, accommodating, and genuinely focused on helping me make an informed decision. Joe was the superstar of the visit. He went above and beyond, even coming in on his day off to make sure that I was taken care of. That level of dedication and customer service is rare and deeply appreciated. The manager clearly explained the inspection, giving me real confidence in making the purchase. I will definitely return, with confidence, for any future auto needs I have and I wholeheartedly recommend Ken Towery Tire & Auto on South Broadway to anyone looking for trustworthy service.

One of the worst experience I had there as a 20+ years customer. Biggest rip off ever-read below: My 2008 car needed a new idler pulley so I thought it would be a good idea to have my belts changed at the same time. Their charges comes to $1574.58, about half of the total value of my car. How could that be for few simple parts? Look at the invoice estimates: a $50 item is marked up to $200. Literally every part is marked up an unheard of rate of 400%. To add insult to injury, they are double/triple charging labor for work in the exact same area. This is classic double dipping or overlapping labor charges, which is most likely illegal. (To replace the pulley, the belt needs to come off anyways). Also add on a $44 "supply fee" just to step in the door. Spoke to the manager Jacob who basically shrugged his shoulder and blamed the "system" for the mark ups and the overlapping labor fees. He claims he only punches in the parts and the computer system does the rest. It is hard to image that as a manager he is unable to make any adjustments. If that is the case, why even need a manager. A customer can just come in and punch in the needed item himself.
