I cannot say enough good things about the team at Tire Discounters on Nicholasville Road especially James. I came in expecting a simple fix for a misplaced brake component, something quick and not too expensive. But because of an incomplete job from a previous shop that replaced my brake booster, things took an unexpected turn. Their attempted “quick fix” ended up damaging the booster I had installed less than three months ago, and I found myself in a stressful, frustrating situation.
This is where James truly showed what real customer care looks like. He didn’t have to get involved—he could have just fixed the immediate issue and sent me on my way. Instead, he took the time to help me sort through the mess left by the previous establishment. When I struggled to get them to honor their warranty, James stepped up and helped me handle the warranty process myself. That level of dedication, empathy, and genuine customer obsession is something you don’t come across often.
I walked in expecting a repair. I left feeling supported, understood, and incredibly grateful. James and his crew turned a tough situation into a reminder that good people and great service still exist. They’ve absolutely earned a lifelong customer.
If you’re wondering where to take your car, stop wondering. This place is it. 100% recommend James and the team have my business from here on out!

Bought two new tires, the techs inflated my tires to 60+ PSI. The over inflated tires caused a harsh and slippery ride. I could feel every single bump and crack in the road due to the over inflated tires. This also caused my tire pressure sensor to get damaged. Nearly spun out in a round-about from lack of traction at normal speeds.
They also forgot to put valve stem covers back on my tires. Overall their work is sloppy, lousy, unsafe and overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend

I ordered a set of tires that the website said was compatible with my vehicle. They sent tires that were one inch smaller than needed for my wheel diameter. They had already taken the tires off my vehicle when they let me know of the issue so I was backed into a corner. Rather than suggest a tire that fit what I was looking for that would likely have to be rescheduled for another appointment, they offered lesser options they had on site so they could make that money and get me out the door. They told me that the tires I picked out in a rush were 3 peak winter certified. They are not. Plus, they also managed to pocket the $200 deposit that they made me put down on the tires they couldn't install. They did not apply it to the goods and services that they did render. Stay away from these crooks. Go across the street to Big O.
The #1 cause of uneven or rapid tire wear is misalignment. Your vehicle also may pull to one side or feel "loose" when steering, and you might even observe a drop in fuel economy. Alignment is critical to tire life and vehicle safety. In fact, if you install new tires on a misaligned vehicle, some manufacturers won't even honor your tire warranty. Everyday driving, potholes, hard turns, and sudden stops, gradually knock your wheels out of alignment. This wear is natural, but it can quickly chew through your tires. That's why Tire Discounters includes a FREE alignment ($129.99 value) when you purchase 4 tires installed. It's just another way we help you get more life (and more value) out of your tires.
