- SSS.F.Jan 27, 20265.0I was traveling through this area during Winter Storm Fern with my family on Sunday 01/25/26 and had to stop in and replace my driver's side wiper blade after it broke. When I pulled up there was a sign on the door saying they were going to close at 1pm, it was 1258pm when I was walking in. The gentleman there let me know that his boss's boss's boss had called him to tell him to close the store due to the extremely bad weather so he could get home safely. Even considering that, that he was helping one lady just before me and was friendly and helpful to me, including following me out to my car in the sub zero temps to offer assistance when I had some issues getting the wiper replaced. Sir, I thank you for your excellent customer service and care. That wiper blade saw me through a day and a half of some of the worst weather I have ever driven through and got me and my family home safely. Its a small thing but the kindness you showed was much appreciated. To the boss's boss's boss, good on you for making the choice to allow the store to close early. I have seen too many times when someone puts profitability over people not realizing that people are what make you profitable in the long term. I, and I'm sure your other customers, take note of the care your workers receive and use that to judge the level of care that then gets passed down to the customers as well.

I broke down on my way to albuquerque saturday 1-10-26 morning. No auto parts store in the area could locate the clips i needed for my transmission line. The gentleman took the time to search the store to find the part i needed. Without him i wouldve been stranded in lexington with my disabled mother in the truck and no way to even move my vehicle..

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
