- GSGiovanni SocciSep 24, 20253.0I rarely stop at this Pilot,but here it goes: 9/22/25 at 6a.m. I forgot my beautiful brand new,leather toiletry bag at one of their counters,I left and went about my bussines,delivered pu another load that took me to Parma,Mi,next day as I looked for my bag,I couldn t find it in my truck,so I called the Pilot at 9a.m. to ask them about if I d forgotten it there,seems like I did,seems like i didn t,they don t know,seems like they saw it,seems like they didn t...so i ask them IF you see it,save it for me,I ll be passing by tomorrow and pick it up(I really loved it,$100.00 worth),so next day is Wedn the 24th,a lady said she saw it and saved it in the office,so she goes and looks for it,I was so happy...she comes out empty handed,says :"I don t understand,I put it in the office,I put it there,I brought it from the counter,and then you called...I don t get it..." So,the story goes that they throw away everything forgotten and unclaimed after 24 hrs,but man,so some one was actually with a watch,looking at the time,I forgot it at 6:10 a.m.,next day, Tuesday at 6:10 a.m. some one said "is 6:10 a.m. this beautiful toiletry bag has got to go into the trash,no one has called in 24 hrs,to the trash it goes" I called at 9a.m. no one knows anything about it,next day I show up,and the lady knows,she saw it,she saved it in the office,but it was thrown away by some one else... This was so bad from Pilot,I will continue stopping at Petro across i-65, they saved my $3,000.00 ring that I forgot in the shower once,I collected it a month later,after I called them the next day. Petro is good,Pilot not good at all.

When I brought a concern to him, he listened and responded with gracious customer service and took action. Not only did he not make me feel bad for pointing something out, he turned the situation into a positive learning opportunity for his team, he also went a step further by offering me a complimentary drink or food for the experience. His approach showed true leadership and care for both me as a customer and his employees. I want him to know I truly appreciate him making things easier for me rather than not, as I can only imagine the amount of stress a job like this can hold. Thank you, Adam - keep it up and you will always have the opportunity to make somebody’s day.
