- DBdom BishopApr 14, 20261.0I have an older Chevrolet Dually. I took it over to have the inner tires on the rear dismounted and remounted on the front. Which would entail dismounting the front and remounting as well. I go to pick the truck up and I notice neither front tire had been switched. The service writer told me they could not switch the tires because the tires are not compatible. But the truck has the same size tire all the way around. 285-75-16 on all 6 wheels. Also before picking up I noticed they took my truck for a drive down the road. So I ask the writer if the the tires are incompatible whey did you all proceed to dismount the outer rear and rebalance is when I never once asked the two out wheels to be touched outside of taking off the truck to get to the inner dual. Long story short paid $120 for 2 tires and wheels to balanced while it was not needed, also being told the 2 tires I want to switch are not compatible but every tire on the truck is the same size brand and model of tire.
