- DBDoctor BelcherApr 21, 20261.0WAY over-torqued my son's truck's lug nuts beyond the 140 ft-lbs required. My mechanic checked (because we could not even get a single one off ourselves with an electric impact wrench or a 2 foot long extended ratchet!) and they were torqued beyond 250 ft-lbs! It was just 2-3 weeks ago. Terrible for a tire shop to do this.
