They tried to blame the government shutdown, which is bullshit because I've used my card everywhere in this town....not to mention the shutdown ended last night! Get it together

- JSJamie SingletonAug 31, 20254.0Overall this store is very clean and normally the employees are very welcoming and friendly.I did have an unpleasant encounter with a rude employee named Tamekia today,I wanted to place an order for a supreme pizza,and initially she had her back turned towards me so I politely asked her if I could please place an order,she halfway turned her body towards me and said "We are short handed,I ain't got time for all that".She then turned away from me and proceeded to just ignore me.I just stood there in shock for a second, because of how rude she was,I understand being short handed,I work in the restaurant industry so I completely get it,but her body language and dismissive behavior is not how an employee should act that works with the public.Even if they were too short handed for her to take my order,she could have at least apologized and then explain why.I proceeded to ask her her name,and she just looked at me blankly so I asked again,then she just gave me a dirty look and walked away.As I was walking out the door I asked the cashier at the register what the girls name was,because she had witnessed the whole thing, and she apologized to me for the way "Tamekia "had acted,which I could tell she felt bad for the way the other girl had acted,but it wasn't her fault that clearly this other girl was just a rude person.When I got outside I called the store to ask for the manager just because they cant fix a problem if they dont know what's going on,I spoke with the assistant manager, who was super nice to me,he proceeded to tell me to just wait outside and he would make my pizza for me.After a few minutes, he brought me the pizza and apologized for the way the employee acted and said that he talked with her and took care of the problem. I've been to this store several times,and have always had a good experience, so im hoping that this was just a one time occurrence, I feel like the manager deserves praise for his prompt attention to the matter and how he handled the situation. And I really hope that the rude employee realizes the way she talked to me is not the way you are supposed to treat a customer.
