We tried several other auto parts stores literally within a 50 mile radius on the Tennessee side. We bought what we thought would work from Tractor supply but it didn't. I know we're on the TN/KY line so I called them to see if they had what we needed. Sure enough they did, so we headed that way. Took us maybe 30 min. My husband goes in with the controller we bought and they couldn't find anything to fit it! Apparently it was an odd model or something. So the store did have the model and adapter we needed... The manager gave my husband 10% off because he felt bad we had gone through so much! The unit and adapter wound up being cheaper, even without the discount! He was so helpful. So we're returning the other to Tractor supply . Highly recommend them. Very knowledgeable

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
