The process of renting and pickup/drop off service is good. However, when I rented a vehicle recently, I found out while I had it rented that a trim piece on the vehicle was secured with a zip tie. I discovered this when the zip tie broke and the trim can slightly loose from the vehicle. I gave this information to Enterprise when I checked the vehicle in. A month later I found out that Enterprise submitted a claim to my insurance stating that the damage was caused by something I ran over. My insurance denied the claim. After insurance denied the claim Enterprise sent me a letter asking for payment. When I called them 1 day after the date of the letter they sent me I was told that the claim had been closed and sent to collections. They opened it back up and I disputed the claim again reiterating the actual facts of the situation. The followed back up with me 6 days later to tell me the claim was closed and I needed to pay. They said that without me identifying that the trim was held with a zip tie when I checked it out and without noting it at that time then it was my responsibility. This claim was only for a few hundred dollars and the person I spoke with seemed to understand my POV but told me it was outside of their control, and they could not do anything about it. I told them that if I paid, they would lose me as a future customer and asked them if that would be their choice over just a few hundred dollars. They again said they had no decision rights in the situation and I ultimately paid. This is simple customer relations, customer service and customer retention 101. They Failed and chose to lose me as a customer and I will tell this story to all co workers and friends going forward. Update: Christiana, If you are interested in helping you should have the necessary info on hand. My name is already available and this is regarding claim #23507892 which is now closed as I have paid it. I've already spent a significant amount of my time on the phone with Enterprise and had communicated prior to making this review that I would be doing this. The people I've spoken to were ok with me making the review and losing me as a customer, so I'm not incentivized to reach out on time to continue to pursue this. If you would like to follow up with me, Enterprise obviously has my contact info based on the calls, emails and mail that I've received over the last couple of weeks in an effort to collect this money.

Christina (hope I’m spelling her name correctly) and Kam were both very thorough, informative and kind. The car was extremely clean as well. I was very surprised by that.
