  On 11/17/2025 at 11:50 am, I returned a car with no damage, verified by Manny during the walk around at drop off. The car was immediately taken to Jiffy Lube and had an oil change. The car was picked up and cashed out at 12:31 pm. This was verified by staff at the Jiffy Lube. At 2:17 pm, I received a call from Manny stating that he had just noticed damage to the vehicle while washing the windshield. Supposedly, there was a crack at eye level, driver's side, which was somehow unnoticed during the walk around, and both times he was in the car driving it to and from Jiffy Lube. Now, Budget is trying to collect $832 from me for the replacement of the windshield that I had nothing to do with breaking. I have rented from this location a number of times. Usually, the service is adequate for a low-end budget rental company. Chuck, the manager of the location, is normally a breeze to work with. In fact, he is the one who told me the car went to Jiffy Lube as soon as I dropped it off, which prompted me to call them. The cars were clean, and you usually got the type of car you requested.

  I will stay away from this one. I rented a vehicle for 1 day on Saturday with return on Sunday. The guy that worked that day told me I should return to the airport which wasn't the option for me (seriously? budget confirmed my reservation but then trying to get me return it to another location?). I asked if they had a drop box for the keys, he said Yes. Returned on time clean and full of gas. I was charged for 2 days instead of one. If you can't end a reservation on Sunday, then you shouldn't be allowing such reservations! Another problem was with toll road charges. He said I should add the vehicle to my Kansas Turnpike account. I asked if I could do it after travel , he said yes. I tried to add it to my account as soon as I came back but it was impossible to do. Called Turnpike authority twice just a day after the travel but they told me it could only be done before the travel because the vehicle had a transponder from another state. Later I spoke with Valerie who worked at the Ridge rd counter, she told me the same - to add vehicle to my account after the travel (meaning their info isn't accurate). Budget charges hefty fees if they get your toll road charge on their account. Valerie gave me a phone number for the managers but these people on the phone do everything to avoid talking about the problems you had. Its impossible to talk to anyone. After trying to talk to someone several times, I left a message for the manager Adam Taylor but her ignored it. I submitted a complaint ticket on Budget site, we will see what happen. If they don't refund me for the second day, I will file a dispute with my credit card. Only 1 day rental yields significant unexpected expenses. AVOID!

  I reserved a standard SUV 4x4 (jeep grand cherokee or something similar). When I picked up my reservation I was given a Hyundai Kona which was basically a car. I asked for a larger rental as that is what I reserved. I was told this was the only SUV they could offer. I asked if another location had a larger SUV that could accommodate the cargo I planned to take on vacation. She looked at the computer for about 10 seconds and stated no other lot had one bigger. I asked if we could get a discount as the vehicle was quite a bit smaller than reserved. We were told no. Had we had a stroller or wheelchair or more people than 3 going on the trip, we'd have not been able to take the necessary items. A simple call or email alerting me to the drastic change in vehicle would have given me a chance to book something else.

  There were NO available rental cars in Wichita today except at Budget. I obtained a reservation over the phone for my stepdaughter to travel for her stepfather's funeral, prepaid and went to this location to pick it up. When it was stated the destination was New York state (rural NY), we were informed a car could not rented after all. The person called someone and then confirmed a car would not be provided. I contacted corporate and was told there is no corporate policy but an individually licensed location could have additional policies.The person reported all 4 locations are independently licensed. The explanation was something about lawsuits and no one could figure out why that was the case. Very frustrating during a heartbreaking time.

  I had a very good experience renting my SUV for my trip. I was a little nervous because I generally never rent cars but everything worked out even better than planned. Great car great service..thank you Ashtyn you were a great help!! It's so nice to see that good customer service skills still exist out there.
