- GRGeorge Ramos3 days ago1.0Warning to all: Brought vehicle in for a routine oil change left by tow. Zero accountability. Brought in a 2004 Prius for a routine oil change immediately after the oil change while still in the bay during their check for oil pressure my dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Keep in mind My vehicle had no issues prior to this and had just performed two several hundred mile trips the past two days prior without issue. They insisted it was not due to their service. After having it towed to a shop the shop concluded the likely cause for failure was debris falling from the air filter box after it was messed with onto the mass air flow sensor directly below which a quick google search has had some similar documented cases. Had the just done the oil change as requested and not messed with my airbox which I clearly stated just oil change this would’ve likely been avoided. After the diagnoses the shop cleaned the mass air flow sensor which repaired my issue. Valvoline refuses to pay the $328.55 Diagnosis Tow + Repair

On top of that, I was charged $170 for the oil change plus an air filter and $16 for labor, which is completely unreasonable for a conventional 3,000-mile service. The price does not match the service provided, and the situation was not clearly explained to me at the time of payment. Customers should be able to trust that they are receiving exactly what they request and are being charged fairly. I would not recommend this location unless you carefully double-check the oil type, mileage interval, and total cost before paying.

The guy that was behind me in line must be a saint. I was happy to learn they did tranny flushes, so I had them do that, too. Unfortunately they managed to get transmission fluid all over the engine. The car was literally dripping fluid in the driveway when I got home. Even after using degreaser the car and garage stink. Sorry, I can’t recommend this business.
