I would not recommend Morris Smith Ford of Leavenworth or Larned.
I purchased a 2018 Tahoe without being able to inspect or test drive it and was told it only needed tires and an alignment. Within less than 3 months and under 3,000 miles, the vehicle had over $8,000 in documented repairs including oil leaks, suspension failure, and engine mount issues.
The vehicle was also delivered with a damaged wheel that has still not been resolved.
Communication has been poor — the salesperson stopped responding, and while the owner initially engaged, responsibility was ultimately avoided. A proposed solution required a 3-hour drive despite known drivability issues, and a reasonable alternative was ignored.
I have full documentation of the purchase, repairs, and communication. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before doing business here.

Kaden Williams is a very good salesman. He treated not only me but my girlfriend with the upmost respect and kindness with the process of buying my first vehicle. He explained everything thoroughly and honest with every step of the way! Definitely come and see him!

Brought my truck to diagnose water leaking into the cab. The mechanic made a guess; didn't actually verify with a test. I was charged $215 for 2 minutes of work.
Update: Morris Smith mechanic claimed the water leak was through the windshield. The windshield is under warranty, so I had Safelite diagnose the windshield. Safelite was unable to reproduce the water leak through the windshield. I called to reschedule another diagnosis with Morris Smith, who said they did the initial work correctly, since it was done by a manager. I asked for photos or video, neither of which was produced. I am bringing it back to Morris Smith on Monday; I will ask them to show me documentation of the leak at that time.

The salesmen part of this place was great. Andrew was great to work with and I love my new explore active. The SERVICE department is horrible! I have had an issue at all 3 of my appointments. The first appointment was for a chip on my windshield - I show up and they told me the windshield people weren’t in the shop, so had to wait for them to show up even though I had an appointment. Second appointment was for an oil change and recall - they said it would take 2 hours, 4 hours later the recall couldn’t be completed so I had to come back. Third appointment was an oil change and a start to another recall (they had to have the car in their shop to order parts) and to address a noise I had been hearing under the door. They call to let me know my car is done, I ask about the noise under the door and the service guy has no idea that I had an issue (even though I had talked to them when I booked the appointment). So I had to wait another 60 minutes for that to be fixed. Then they charged me for my oil change - even though when I made the appointment I was told my service package expired on April 25th (1 full year of free oil changes and tire rotation) and my oil change was done on April 6th. The guy told me he was new so he didn’t know the answer, got put on hold just to be told I had to pay for the oil change with no explanation as to why my package didn’t last the full year. And they charged me to replace the clips that where broken on the door (only $23) but my car is bumper to bumper warranty as I bought it brand new. So no warranty coverage there. Just horrible customer service. Always an issue. I’m 100% done using their service department!
Avoid this dealership like the plague.
In December of 2024, I bought a 2023 F-150 Lariat from Morris Smith Ford of Leavenworth. What should have been an exciting purchase turned into a master class in how not to run a dealership. Save yourself the headache.
They sold me a truck with bald tires. The truck had roughly 12,000 miles on it. That shouldn’t mean much for tires, yet the inner edges were nearly worn through. Honestly, I should have checked them myself before driving off the lot, but I was buying from a dealership, not a guy on Craigslist, and I made the mistake of assuming that counted for something. Either the tires had been swapped out for old ones before the sale, or there was a pre-existing suspension problem severe enough to cause severe uneven wear. Either way, the dealership sold me a truck that needed new tires immediately and said nothing.
The truck had aftermarket license plate lights installed and they didn’t disclose that either. When they started flickering, an unaffiliated Ford mechanic confirmed they were not OEM. Correcting it cost me over $250 out of pocket. A truck with 12,000 miles on it should have factory lights. The fact that it didn’t, and no one said a word, tells you everything about how they do business.
The truck had a broken control arm. The Firestone tech changing my tires found it. Morris Smith Ford did not disclose it during the sale. On a nearly new truck. Let that sink in. This could have caused the premature inner tire wear too, meaning the dealership sold me a truck with a known defect that was actively destroying my tires.
And then there’s the finance office. We came in pre-approved and were even prepared to pay cash. Their finance manager apparently didn’t care. He aggressively pushed loan products we didn’t want, tried to steer us toward financing on his terms, and was condescending throughout the process. We had to firmly push back just to buy a truck the way we had already decided to buy it.
Oh, and they handed us the keys with a quarter tank of gas. It is a small thing compared to everything else, but it perfectly captures the attitude of this place. They could not even be bothered to fill the tank on a truck we just paid good money for.
This dealership sold me a truck with worn tires, non-OEM parts, and a broken suspension component, none of it disclosed, and then tried to bully me in the finance office. Do your homework, shop elsewhere, and if you do end up here, bring your own mechanic.
