  Great service! I came in last October for a pre-purchase inspection on a 2014 Honda Civic I had just bought. Inspection was done in a few hours, cost a couple hundred dollars. Very detailed report. One particular thing: The mechanic noted that the exhaust "sounded a bit louder than usual." I asked if they could take a closer look, so they hoisted the car up and showed me that one of the gaskets near the exhaust had gotten worn down. So I take the car back to the dealer for repairs, and they found that the issue was a loose engine mount, which could have gotten much worse. They replaced it under warranty (no cost to me!) and I avoided a huge headache down the the road. I have no idea how the Lawrence Automotive Diagnostics people found that out just from the exhaust volume, but I'm not complaining! Also, I never felt pressured or hassled during their service, and their staff were very kind, which is important because I look visibly confused around cars so it is probably easy to take advantage of me. Would definitely recommend!

  My husband and I were on our 20th anniversary road trip when our car started overheating. We called Lawrence Automotive Diagnostics, explained our situation (heading home to Pittsburgh, PA), and they said they were able to check out the vehicle. We had it towed there and the mechanics diagnosed it immediately. Not only did the car have a cracked radiator, it was showing other issues on the diagnostic test which could be an additional catastrophic issue. They could have easily had us pay for a new radiator ($$) and then told us about the additional issues, but they were up front with everything. They were extremely accommodating to us when we were deciding what to do with our car and how we were going to get back home. Ultimately, we ended up selling the car and purchasing a new one at a nearby dealership. The labor costs they charged us were more than fair and less expensive than we were expecting. While we don't live anywhere near Kansas, I cannot recommend this shop enough. My husband and I were stranded in an unfamiliar city/state and could have easily been taken advantage of. Instead, they were friendly, quick, forthcoming, and provided us with practical solutions for our problem. We cannot thank them enough.

  inflated prices. After two weeks I have to add more oil because I didn’t give my engine the correct amount, and no my car isn’t leaking oil.

  This company is nothing short of predatory. They tried to charge me $500 for a simple transmission fluid change, which is absolutely outrageous. On top of that, they billed me $1,200 for a service that should have cost no more than $800. Then they had the nerve to push unnecessary repairs, insisting my valves needed to be replaced when they absolutely did not. It was painfully clear they were trying to take advantage of me, assuming I wouldn’t question their inflated prices. That kind of dishonesty and manipulation is unacceptable. Instead of providing trustworthy service, their goal was to exploit and overcharge. I strongly advise anyone considering this shop to stay far away. If you value your money and don’t want to be treated like a walking wallet, do not trust this place.
