  We had a really easy and pleasant pick up at KEF. James was super professional and helpful, walking us through all the various T&Cs and options for upgrades patiently without being pushy. He even helped to problem solve and answer any questions we had. A huge thanks to James!

  Wir wurden am Schalter sehr freundlich von James empfangen und beraten. Des Weiteren erhielten wir anstatt eines Kleinwagens sogar einen Suzuki Jimny 4x4. Allradantrieb ist in Island nur zu empfehlen. Bei uns hat alles super geklappt. 👍🏼 Auch die eigenständige Rückgabe das Fahrzeugs außerhalb der Geschäftszeiten verließ ohne Probleme.

  Their fleet is not well maintained. Our car had multiple long scratches on it as well as two divots in the windshield. I of course documented them and had the full coverage so I wasn’t charged. If you choose to rent from Sixt I would give everything a really good look. In addition, even though I booked and paid in advanced they wanted to charge me an additional 25 euros because the insurance rate has gone up. Um - we have a contract. You can’t change to rate now.

  I felt regret that when I made a reservation through booking I didn’t check the google reviews. This place is a joke, liar and fraud. I feel outraged when receiving damage report after I returned the car. The Car we got was in terrible exterior condition and no one was at the pick up location to check the condition with us. At the return, there is also no one there to recheck the condition. I rent the car for less than 1 day and drive just between airport and the city. No even minor accidents happen. After I returned the car, I received the damage report and request for around 1000usd for repairs. I purchased the full coverage from booking so financially I am ok. But this is a serious accuse on my integrity. Avoid this place. Cheat is their business model.

  Do not rent with them. Save yourself some headache and rent your car with a different company. We arrived at their kiosk about 1 hour prior to our pick up time. I told them we were there early, but their unprofessional staff did not ask what time our reservation was, nor informed us that a FULL DAY would be charged if we picked up the car earlier. We could have waited if we had been informed of this charge. After a very long email thread with their customer support, their answer was basically "not our problem, no refund". Their reasoning was that we were supposed to inform their staff of our reservation time and ask if there was a charge for picking the car up earlier. We were supposed to do their jobs. Lesson learned, never renting with SIXT again.
