  National Car Rental has a very bad customer service. Buy a coverage but when you encounter something, call them, chat with them few times, no solution being provided. Very bad.

  The lot attendants were friendly and helpful. I had a somewhat complicated situation and it was resolved efficiently.

  I'm hesitate to judge it too harshly, but I had a poor experience at this store last week, which is rather off-brand for National. I was traveling with a group of travelers from Chile last week, and we were looking to pick up their rental car a little early. First of all, upon arriving, there is nothing that indicates the National store shares the same building, people, etc., as the Enterprise store. There is no National branding anywhere visible, just Enterprise. I know the interrelationship between the brands as a US-based traveler, but it was very confusing for my Chilean friends. Seems like an opportunity to add a small National logo to sign on the the front of the store. Second of all, upon arriving and trying to talk to the front desk clerk, he was speaking very fast and was hard to understand (even for me, as a native English speaker), much less for my Chilean co-workers. He explained that he "literally had no cars even for his customers in the next few hours," when the branch "literally" had 5-6 cars sitting out front that were clearly available rentals. We were trying to pick up early, so I understand if there wasn't any inventory for early pick-up, but it felt like we were being lied to given the rental cars parked out front. If you have cars available but can't give them to us, just tell us that. But to explain "literally no cars on the lot" when we can see them comes across as disingenuous. Overall, again, a somewhat negative experience for a brand that usually crushes it. I hope the on-site location team can take this feedback and look into making some slight improvements to bring this store's CX in-line with the usually excellent National service!
