- JHJack Hanson4 days ago2.0Avoid, if you care about the efficiency and health of your engine. 15% ethanol is mandatory unless you get the 93 octane, which is ridiculous when it's priced the same as the 10% ethanol 87 across the street. Older cars are not designed for 15% ethanol and it burns less efficiently than pure gasoline, so you will get worse fuel economy on top of the question of how well your ECU will adjust to the mixture.
