- BABella AnnApr 16, 20265.0As a women I hate having to go into auto stores by myself, today I went in because I needed new breaks and rotors all the way around. I walked in Tonya greeted me with a smile, as well as her coworker who is also a female I just didn’t catch her name. Tonya helped me out all I had to tell her was my make and model, and then she brought out all of my heavy boxes on a cart for me and helped me load them into the car. I will definitely be coming back to advance auto for any future needs.

There was a young male attending customers and had a line, a little bit after an older woman comes from one of the aisles on her phone doesn’t greet any customers and as we made eye contact ,she immediately turns around back down the same aisle which made me very frustrated to have to wait in line when clearly there’s someone available to help me. Train your staff better!!!!!!!!!!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
