  Extremely disappointing experience at this Enterprise/Alamo location. I booked a 30-day rental through Expedia at a specific quoted price, but when I arrived at the South Bend Airport location, I was charged more than $700 above the price I was shown online. When I saw the unexpected charge on my card, I immediately returned the vehicle the same day. The front desk representative assured me that I would receive a full refund and did not inform me that returning the vehicle the same day would still trigger a full-day rental fee. If they had told me that, I would have simply kept the car for the day. I relied on the information I was given at the counter. Weeks later, I was shocked to find out that I had been billed $278.45 and that the balance had been sent to collections. I was never notified of any remaining amount, and none of this was explained to me at the time of return. I contacted customer service and corporate, but the response was that “there is nothing they can do” because a contract was signed — even though this important fee was not explained to me when I asked for a refund and returned the vehicle immediately. This was an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience, and I would strongly recommend verifying every charge and asking for complete fee disclosures if you plan to rent from this location. I expected more transparency and communication, especially from such a well-known company.

  I have been calling repeatedly for the past 2 days and no one answers. I'm trying to find a rental I left in the rental lot so I can get it towed to the company it belongs to but no one is apparently available to help me.
