    Camping World (Huber Heights, OH & Richmond, IN) was a disappointment from start to finish. At Huber Heights, I was told by the salesperson (“Crazy Tim”) that a hitch would be included to make up for the fact they sold me a camper that had already been sold to someone else. I trusted that and moved forward. When I got to Richmond to finalize everything, they refused to honor it. I was told it was a “Huber Heights issue,” and that was the end of it—no hitch, no credit, no attempt to make it right. The worst part? I didn’t find this out until I was about 95% through financing. At that point, you’re basically backed into a corner. After buying a $26,000 camper, I asked to borrow or rent a simple 1-1/16” wrench to assemble the hitch I had to go buy myself. Denied. That tells you everything you need to know about how they treat customers. Only positive— the service guy who did the walkthrough actually did his job well. Straightforward, helpful, and professional. He was the exception. I had read the reviews before going in and saw the pattern of complaints but gave them a shot anyway. Turns out those reviews were right. Poor communication, no accountability between locations, and zero follow-through. I regret doing business with Camping World and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

    I dropped our camper off on March 28th for an inspection and maintenance and when doing so they gave me a “promise to be finished by date” of April 16th. We didn’t hear anything back at all until April 9th giving us a quote of what needed to be fixed and touched up. On the same day we told them to go ahead and fix the few small items we were quoted for and reminded them that we needed it back by the following week. The service guy told us he would be in touch regarding the timeline. We didn’t hear anything again. I called there on April 14th to check the status and confirm it would be done by April 16th as promised and they informed me that they still had not even begun any of the listed items they sent me. Instead they told me one of the parts would not be delivered until April 27th. I felt it was very unprofessional to not keep a customer in the loop of what is being done, the timeframe for the work, and the fact that they were not going to have the camper completed in the time they originally promised. Because of this we are now going to have to either cancel a camping trip where we cannot be refunded or go pick up the camper, camp in it, and drive it over an hour back to camping world to have the work done after the camping trip.

    Get your trade number signed before transferring all your belongings to your new camper. We arrived and was told to go ahead and start transferring our fully loaded trade to the new camper. Three hours later, manager talks to me and says they found a soft spot in the floor (unknown to me) and it’s a $10,000.00 fix. Asks me if I can pay half the cost. Told him best I could do is $3000.00. Shakes my hand and says done. 2 days later, old camper is advertised for sale. Seems like they create that gotcha moment after already transferring your belongings to the new unit. Pay the extra or spend 3 hours transferring everything back. Walk away from this place!

    Worse experience I have ever had in 57 years. Salesman didn't know what hitch weight was. All other Salesman were bullshitting instead of taking care of customers. I did buy a camper that day, just not there. TERRIBLE SERVICE
