We. are from SC and were in town visiting family when our car broke down. It was after hours so we waited until the next morning to call around to see who could fit us in. My dad used to take his cars to Menke when he lived in Newburgh, so I gave them a call. Chris was so nice, he said that with us being from out of town he would move some things around to get us in that same day. We got our car towed to the shop and they had us back on the road the very next day. Thank you to the team at Menke for taking care of us so quickly and delivering the same level of service my dad bragged about years ago!!

What is preventive maintenance?

Preventive maintenance involves regular upkeep of your vehicle to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues. It includes tasks such as servicing windshield wipers, replacing spark plugs, changing engine oil, inspecting hoses, maintaining the battery, replacing drive belts, and checking brake components. These routine services aim to enhance vehicle reliability, safety, and longevity while improving customer satisfaction.

What maintenance should I be doing and when?

Maintenance schedules vary based on your vehicle and driving habits. Generally, you should change oil and rotate tires every 3,000-5,000 miles, replace the PCV valve annually, perform a whole vehicle diagnostic yearly, service the battery as needed, check air conditioning each spring, flush the radiator coolant every two years, and flush the brake and clutch systems annually.
