Come to find out this store did not have my belt in stock. Brian knew we were stuck without this belt and looking at an outrageous tow bill to get home. He made a phone call and found my belt at a competitor's store in walking distance. He told me that if I got the belt, he would help me get it on really quick. Brian was indeed good to his word and within 30 minutes the belt was back on, and truck was ready to go. To me this is going well above and beyond to assist a customer. Not a lot of people left who are willing to go out of their way for a stranger. Thank you, Brian, for your help.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
