  I would never use this gas station again. Due to I-65 being closed, I was forced onto back roads and stopped here purely out of necessity while traveling along IN-37 in Mitchell, Indiana. This location is Sinclair Fuelmaster, an independently owned station. I understand how pay-at-the-pump transactions work and that debit cards are subject to temporary holds. That is not the issue. The problem is that this station placed a $100 hold on my debit card that remained for two and a half weeks. Most gas stations release holds within minutes or, at worst, a few hours. To make matters worse, they also charged the actual purchase amount of $15 the next day while still holding the $100. While I eventually got the money back, this was completely unacceptable. This is an independent, Indian-owned location, and to be clear, my complaint has nothing to do with ownership or background. The issue is how the business is run. When I tried to ask questions about the charge, there was a significant language barrier, due to them not speaking English, which made it difficult to clearly communicate or get helpful answers regarding a serious billing problem. On top of that, this location does not have a bathroom available, which is unreasonable for a gas station along a major travel route. The store was dirty, and the staff was unhelpful. Do not use your debit card at the pump here, and honestly I wouldn’t recommend stopping here at all. This was an extremely frustrating experience and easily one of the worst gas station experiences I’ve had. NEVER stop at Fuelmaster Mitchell.

  Stopped in for a few drinks and ended up grabbing a big red and bottle of water from the cooler that were both marked $.99. They rang up for $3.18 so I asked which one was not $.99 and she said both. I informed her they are both marked $.99 and she said no. We debated and then she called another guy over and he said those $.99 prices don't start until until next week. I said it's marked as $.99 now though. After some debate with him they still wouldn't sell the drinks for $.99 each so I just left. Anyway, just be careful of what the marked prices are versus what you are being charged.
