- MRMaggie Russell6 days ago5.0I had a check engine light on with some car shaking instances and my coworker recommended this Mavis, saying they were trustworthy and she’d taken her car here for years. I dropped off my car and picked it up three hours later - they didn’t find anything wrong with it as the light had gone off when I dropped it off, but they didn’t charge me at all. They certainly should have for labor at least. I’m grateful for honest car mechanics!

I truly thank GOD for the wonderful experience I had on today at Mavis Tires and Brakes in Merriville. The gentleman by the name of Ryan hooked me up . I honestly told him that i really didn't have the money to pay for a patch and the LORD touched the heart of Ryan and allowed him to be a help and a blessing to me. I would definitely recommend anyone family and friends and others of whom I know and don't know to stop by Mavis Tires and Brakes where the staff there are friendly and courteous and do an excellent job the place is clean when you walk in the door And the staff there were showing concern regarding the issue I had with my vehicle. Not to mention they didn't waste anytime at all with getting started on my car THANKS AGAIN Ryan and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR ENTIRE STAFF 👍😊

I came in contact with the Mavis Tires Merrillville when my car broke down and I had to take public transportation to get home from work. This is when I met Jerry, Chris, and Ryan. While waiting for my ride I would walk over to Mavis. I was able to witness how well the Mavis management and crew members interacted with their customers. Fast forward, when I became mobile again Mavis Tires and Brakes in Merrillville was the first place, I thought of to take my car. In the past I would always go to another local tire shop I will not mention. I have nothing bad to say about them. As women we sometimes have trust issues with car dealers and mechanics. I would run out of space to mention those stories. But the Jerry, Chris, and Ryan are good people and most importantly do good work. Thank you Guys!! Marilyn
