I went into advanced yesterday with my girlfriend to get a new battery expecting a subpar experience. HOWEVER, CV was so helpful and efficient when it came to helping us test and replace our battery. The place was pretty busy, and the man was busting his butt to make sure we were helped quickly and appropriately (along with the 5 other costumers he was helping)! He got us tested and changed our battery for us in a couple minutes (taking the time to double check soild connections etc..). ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS IT WAS LIKE 1° DEGREE OUTSIDE! CV gave us no grief and with a genuine positivity (Thats not easy to do, i should know ive worked for advanced before) all he kept saying as was that people need to help each other and he was happy to be that person. Truly a great employee, and an even better soul. He made our day because he removed our stress and hurtles and made them his own without a second thought. We need more people like this man helping people out. MAKE HIM THE CEO! HE DESERVES A RAISE.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
