Horrible Experience. Truck trailer got hit by car that ran into the back of it. They charged 10k for 5 mile tow. They allowed a whole different company to cut our trailer open to transfer product. Charged another 10k for that. There should be a law where companies cant charge you whatever they feel like because they know the insurance will pay them.

One of our truck drivers was rear-ended by a car at an exit ramp in Lowell, IN. The Indiana State Police dispatched this towing company to hook up the loaded trailer and move it to their yard. I spent two days calling them to obtain the bill, and when they finally sent it, they charged us almost $10,000 for simply hooking the trailer with their semi and moving it to their yard. Their justification for the excessive charge was that these are “state rates” and that nothing could be adjusted. They also repeatedly told me not to worry since “insurance is paying for it,” which was extremely unprofessional. Because the trailer contained cargo, transloading had to be performed. Without our approval, they went directly behind our back and coordinated with the customer to break the seal, cut open our trailer, and remove the cargo — even though the trailer and cargo are our property until delivered. They then added an additional $9,000 to the bill for the transloading, which the broker ultimately paid, again without our knowledge or consent. When I called to request a brief extension on storage fees — since we had already paid nearly $19,000 — they refused and instead sent another bill for four days of storage, which we had no choice but to pay in order to retrieve our trailer. John (the manager) and Ray repeatedly told me they were “just workers” and could not do anything about the charges. Dan, who is in charge of billing, was extremely rude, dismissive, and even stated that he “could’ve made the bill even higher,” questioning why we were trying to negotiate when insurance would cover it. The entire interaction felt predatory and unethical. I would not wish this experience on anyone. This company takes advantage of the fact that they are dispatched by police and that insurance often pays the bill, resulting in outrageously inflated charges. They are not open to reasonable discussion or negotiation. I strongly recommend avoiding them at all costs.

Very overpriced and rude on the phone. Make sure you ask about the price upfront or you will get shocked once you get the bill. Try to avoid them

These people are capable and knowledgeable of the area, but very rude and petty, and a bit sassy. Friendly enough if they like you, but will change the level of service depending on their attitude.
