  Great people. I never thought I would experience “over communication from a service provider like this, but I did. They confirmed the appt no less than 7 times. I appreciated some of it, but who would miss an appt to get their windshield replaced?! Thanks team!

  Had a 3 month process with Safelite which ended with my windshield in worse shape than when I started . Had Safelite replace my windshield in Nov 25 do to several chips from rocks. I drive on the highway for several hours each day and unfortunately chips are a common problem for me. The day after the replacement I noticed loud whistle while driving and called the company to come back out . A tech came out and said he could try and remove a piece of trim on my car but if that didn’t work they would need to replace window as air was getting in. The tech texted me several days later to see if removing the trim stopped the whistle . Unfortunately it did not stop the whistle and he told me he would tell Safelite what was going on. After several weeks of no contact I contacted Safelite and asked when they would be coming back out to work on my car. Safelite did not have any information on my need for a new appointment so I went through the situation for them and a new appointment was scheduled. A new tech came in late January and had the new piece of trim but no knowledge of my problem with the loud whistle . The tech was very nice and showed me why it was whistling, the window was installed just a little out of place, he used the Vin window box as a reference to show me the misalignment. He did not have a new window but said he could try and reposition the existing one . The good news was repositioning window completely stopped the whistle but unfortunately during the repositioning the window developed about a 4 ft crack. I called back to Safelite to talk about the 4ft crack and they stated that I would need to file a new claim to get it fixed . They stated that since the window had been replaced a new rock chip had happened. I told them yes in the 3 months since I started this process a new rock chip did occur as I drive on the highway daily but it had nothing to do with my initial problem of the loud whistle or the new problem of a 4 ft crack that happened while trying to reposition the window to stop the whistling noise.
