I then went to the man working and he was also on his phone. He held his finger up to say hold on so I waited 15 mins, then I asked him to check my battery and he said he can’t help me. I asked why and he said there’s an auto zone right up the street. This really upset me! I asked for the store manager name and he said am. I just left I was upset.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
