The vehicle was not ready at the pick up time (I had done the pre check in the day before), the worker lied to us when we said it smelled like smoke and rushed us through the walk through (claimed it was the disinfectant smell and would wear off--it was not and did not). Once on the road, we found trash in the car and realized the steering wheel was sticky. The car smelled so bad like an ashtray that two of us physically gagged at different points. We tried tobjust deal with it since the car not being ready on time had set us back, but even with windows cracked it was awful. We had to delay our already late start and switch vehicles at the Seymour, IN location (Madison there is amazing and deserves a raise, bonus, or award for customer service) which led to us leaving behind gloves in the car switch process. Renting a car was supposed to relieve travel stress, but in fact caused more stress and problems.
