Killed the battery in my car. I got this for a weed dui so I don’t really know what good it’s doing for me. Just taking my money and annoying me to my wits end. Can’t even take my break at work in peace anymore because you’re not supposed to eat before using this cheap device as that can cause a false positive. Terrible company that has overseas representatives that I’m sure get paid pennies on the dollar. Makes me wonder where all my money is even going to? Wouldn’t wish this device on my worst enemy

A few things to know. First, unit will drain your battery over a few days. Have to start daily to charge. Second is frequency of test requirements, 3 to 4 times first hour depending on state. Lastly, unit itself is fickle. May take multiple times to “learn” the pattern. Worse on cold days. On a positive note good customer service people. Helped me out.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
