- RRRyanSep 15, 20251.0Stopped in for basic flat repair. I had measured my tread depth prior to coming in, knowing what depth is acceptable for repair, finding my tire at 5/32. Upon arrival, salesman doesn’t offer to get the tire out of my SUV, instead instructs me to bring in. He measures depth and says it is borderline. He suggests a new tire and then asks if it is AWD, which it is. He proceeds to walk toward door and says “Google replacing one tire on AWD Fords.” He returns and says other tires are fine but should all be replaced due to AWD. I requested to complete the tire repair and he said they cannot complete because it is unsafe. I walked over to the tire and asked for his tread gauge and showed it was in the green and he still refused. He clearly was only interested in selling 4 tires and was not prepared for a customer who has automotive acumen. As I walked out he made a condescending remark about me putting my safety at risk. Went across street to competitor, the technician met me at the car, measured the depth and showed 5/32. He then offered to take the tire in for me and repair was completed no issue within 30 minutes.
