- JMJon MDec 15, 20251.0Put a hub in my cart on friday night before bed, next day at work I go ahead and pay for it and realize the page had taken my discount off so I cancel the order and order another one. I get that it wouldn't cancel until Monday (next business day) so I order a 2nd one and pay for it and this time it didn't delete my discount. I get the email its ready and head over there Sunday around noon. The lady working is on the phone with someone. No problem, I'll pull up my email while waiting. After she was done she seemed like she didn't really want to help me. She asked what I needed help with and I said I was there to pick up a hub I ordered. She without hesitation says there's no orders coming in today (Sunday). I said I got the email saying it was ready and explain to her the whole thing and how I had canceled first one and wanted the one at a discount because $44 is a tank of gas. She's like well you can't pick up the discounted one without picking up the full price one (even though I just told her the first one had been canceled). That really irritated me so I told her nevermind, I'll just cancel them both then. She must have taken that as me giving her permission to cancel my 2nd order when this was not the case since I was going to let the 2nd one ride and pick it up, but now I see it's time to find a different store with people that want to help you when you walk in the door.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
