- RRRick RobertsDec 22, 20253.0Decided on Saturday to have my oil changed at the Jiffy Lube at 1270 S Rangeline road Carmel Indiana Since I am home bound due to illness Had my son take me as I am unable to drive. Been to this location previously and decided to go there again. I had gone in September and was pleased . The bill was $90 approximately and I had a coupon for $25 off. This trip showed up and all 3 bays were full but no problem Got in and explained wanted full service and the synthetic oil that was called for by the specs. Kiddingly I asked if he was the Lone Ranger as only one man was working? It was just him and one man in the pit. Never showed or asked about the air filter! There was a young man that showed up and stared at the engine with his hands in his pockets. Looked like he just got out of bed and kept checking his phone , finally added the oil out of filled bucket. Hope it was the right stuff. I was presented the bill and it was for $131.00 approx !!! I questioned why the $40.00 increase and was told the by using the synthetic it used more oil . Questioned that as it was the same service prior ! The response I received was a shrug of the shoulders. I was able to use a coupon for $25 off and paid the bill. Not real happy and probably not going back. Should have asked what the cost was going to be prior, I didn’t so my fault! If you go you need to ask . Not going to recommend jiffy Lube ever again!

I didn't know that was the case until later that day or I would have said something. While its not the end of the world, I am paying for the convenience of not filling that stuff up myself. I will be going somewhere else in the future

But the car start smelling hot afterwards, and took the car back and found out they put the wrong oil filter in. They fixed it and it has plenty of oil but now we’re having mechanical issues
