We rented a car for my weekend trip to watch my kids play at their respective colleges. We have always chosen Enterprise because we get a great discount through work and we’ve had family work for them over the years. When we picked up the car, we were told to ignore to maintenance messages on the screen because “it’s just an oil change” and “we will take care of that upon your return”. Little did we know that this was not at all the case. I reached my overnight destination and settled in for the night continuing to ignore the messages as I was told. But the next morning, I couldn’t resist and checked them. Low tire….psi FIVE?! That can’t be right! The tires are thin so it’s difficult to tell but I immediately drove to the closest gas station and sure enough that was the case. My husband got on the phone with enterprise to see what my options would be. This is now a Sunday morning and we know they have weird hours on Sundays. I aired up the tire and drove further while monitoring the psi. I needed to get closer to a familiar location and a safer place. I made my way to my daughters college and parked in a way that the car and tire would be accessible. I walked up to watch her game and continued to wait for an answer. A local tow company who works with the Enterprise there offered to get the tire repaired and tried to reach someone for authorization but also couldn’t get anyone to help him get any answers through Enterprise. My husband was speaking with roadside. I was speaking with customer service and no one was DOING anything. Hours pass and I watch as a tow truck loads up my car and takes it away with zero notice to me. Now I’m in a parking lot with no transportation and Enterprise finally says they should be getting me a replacement car. Hours more pass. The athletic facilities close down. It’s now dark and nothing. We’ve called multiple times and no one shows. Enterprise has no answers. Finally at MIDNIGHT someone calls us to say they got answers and that apparently after dozens and dozens of conversations, that literally not one single person actually put in an order for my replacement car. So I was left stranded in another state OVERNIGHT. Because at this point the replacement location was closed until the next morning. In the morning, that location had NO record of an order for a car for me so the tow truck driver who was sent to pick up my car couldn’t get anything accomplished. 11:50am I finally received a vehicle. More than 24hrs later. At no time did Enterprise offer me a ride, a hotel, help to get safely anywhere, ask about my being stranded in a parking lot, having no food, nothing. I had to have others give me a ride to a hotel and order food to my location. After all this ordeal it still took DAYS to have anyone get back with us regarding compensation. I missed a full day of work and received no pay for that. We requested compensation for my hotel, food, and lost wages for one day since I cannot get any of that back and it seems the least they could offer. After another month of back and forth with enterprise they’ve paid for the one hotel night and ONE meal (apparently that’s all I’m expected to eat in 24hrs extra gone from home) and are offering discounted rates for future rentals….because they expect me to trust them again? Or be able to afford more missed time off work for their incompetence? Or afford their rentals with what exactly? The missed day’s wages I lost because they left me stranded alone out of state? Without even a single question as to my safety or situation? It’s weird because their values state that they take care of customers first and everything else will follow but they fail to take care of customers at all. Without this incident I would’ve been home the night I was left stranded. Without being given a questionable car I could’ve traveled safely to and from my locations without missing work or compromising my safety and incurring extra expenses they now want me to cover on my own. So do I recommend Enterprise? No. Not to my worst enemy and certainly not to those I love.

I reserved a premium SUV well in advance. The day before I was set to pick up, I received a call from a lady at this location saying that the Grand Wagoneer had been recalled and was unavailable for rent so my rental would be downgraded. I was not offered a price adjustment. To make matters worse, there were 3 Grand Wagoneers being rented out to other customers when I went to pick up my rental. One of them was my brother and he was able to pick which Wagoneer he wanted. If the Wagoneers had actually been recalled, NO ONE should’ve been allowed to rent them. We ended up in an minivan that was not large enough for our trip but still had to pay the premium SUV rate. Such an unfortunate experience at this location.

They put my wife in a car without having her sign or initial a contract, without explaining any conditions or insurance information. She got into an accident (100% not her fault) and now trying to collect a $1000 deductible…. Store manager and Branch manager have lied to us and don’t nothing to help and only tried to cover up their own negligence….

Stay with me while I share my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My husband and I are OTR truck drivers. On the 26th of September our truck blows a main seal. So we’re stuck in Anderson at a hotel while the truck is In the shop. Well Thursday we find out the truck will be in the shop longer. I had a very important Dr appointment I couldn’t miss. So I had to get home (Virginia). So I get on the phone with enterprise to get a rental set up. I’m on the phone with reservation, we’re finishing up the final touches. She puts me on hold to make sure they have the vehicle. She comes back on the line and tells me everything is good to go. Friday comes we check out the hotel, and head to pick up the rental. I get a phone call from someone saying “We don’t have any vehicles and as a matter fact I have 30 reservations. If I get something today I’ll call you” I immediately get on the phone with reservation again. Reservation patches me through to a “manager.” This person tells me that she’s gonna pass the phone call as priority to another manager. That will soon be giving me a call and that this manager will call around to see who has a vehicle for me. Well, needless to say I never received a phone call from this manager. I get back on the phone with reservation and I let them know what’s going on. This person assures me that the enterprise in Noblesville has a car for me. So we Modify the reservation and I head to Noblesville. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted and I took a seat. When the young man greeted me again, I showed him my modified reservation and he said I’m 99% sure that I have that car here. Let me go and check. I don’t know what happened from the time he left me and went outside. But when he came back, he told me that no one from Anderson called him to let him know that I was coming, so he did not have a vehicle for me.. Even though I had a reservation for that store. There was another guy Brandon behind the desk, who asked me to give him a few minutes and he will see what he could do for me. After about 15 minutes, I go up to the desk. Brandon says I have a vehicle but it’s a Highlander not the Jetta that I reserved. So at this point I’m upset! I’m crying because I’m frustrated, I just want to get home! Brandon says he will honor the price that I reserve the Jetta for. We finalize the paperwork and I get into the vehicle and I head home. Brandon was very helpful and very patient with me. My main issue is that reservation honestly doesn’t know if the car lot has these vehicles available. They get paid by making the reservation, so they don’t care to check to see if the vehicle is actually available. I pray that I’m never in this situation again and that I don’t have to use enterprise. The only way to make sure that your vehicle is available is by calling the store. Which, in most cases you can’t do because the number will just route you back to reservation.
