I want to share my experience with Big Tires at 440 W North Ave, West Chicago, IL 60185. I took my 1998 4Runner for an alignment, and unfortunately the results were worse than expected. Before bringing it in, the truck was at least somewhat aligned, but after their service it came out in much worse condition — the tires were squealing, the handling felt unsafe, and the vehicle was pulling.
It was frustrating because I had to go to another specialized shop to fix the issues. I think it’s important for customers to know that this location does not have the proper experience to work on lifted or modified suspension vehicles. Hopefully they improve their service in the future.

Called belle tire to address screw in tire. To my surprise was told they would patch for free, I was willing to pay. Went to West Chicago location and I asked them to inspect brakes while on the lift and was told no problem. I was told the screw hole was too big to patch and tried to sell me new tires. I declined the new tires as existing has many miles to go. I immediately went to another shop where they gladly patched tire for 20 dollars and said nothing about screw hole being too big. The tire price was nothing special, they never took a look at the brakes, and seemed like bell tire was not honest about tire repair. After realizing I was not purchasing tires at this time, it seemed like representative was disinterested. I previously had a positive view of the company that has changed, wasted an hour of my time, most likely won't go back.

Update: my issue was resolved. I appreciate it.
This is absolutely ridiculous!
I’m using this place for the second time — and for the second time, it’s a complete disappointment. I don’t have time to go back and forth with a service center that can’t get things done right the first time. I drop my car off for service expecting it to be done properly, not to waste my time again and again.
The first time I came in, I ordered four tires. Since I had my spare wheel on, I simply asked them to remove it and put it back where it belongs under the car. When I came to pick up the car, they had actually removed my spare wheel tire and thrown it in a bin! When I asked them to fix it, they couldn’t even get the spare back under the car — claiming I needed a “special key.” (It turned out all that was needed were pliers.) I didn’t have time to wait, so I took my spare and my good tire home, planning to deal with it next time.
Fast forward to yesterday — I dropped the car off again for maintenance and gave them the wheel and tire so they could finally mount it. My wife picked up the car after the service because I was out of town. Today, I check the trunk — and guess what? The wheel and tire are still sitting there untouched! Yet they charged me for a service that wasn’t even done.
Now I have to go through the hassle of checking what else they supposedly “did,” and waste more of my time going back again. This is a work vehicle — it needs to be on the road, not sitting around because of poor, careless service.
Twice in a row — total failure. Absolutely unacceptable.

Had a 1pm appointment and arrived on time. The rep knew I was a waiter and that my time was limited. I only needed one tire fixed. By 1:30, the car still hadn’t moved, and it wasn’t pulled into the bay until 2pm.
I understand that shops get busy, especially during sales or when short-staffed, but if that’s the case, be upfront about wait times. Don’t take appointments you can’t honor. I work in this industry, so I know how things go — but setting false expectations isn’t acceptable.
Repair itself took 18min though.
I honestly regret not handling it myself. Shops are supposed to offer convenience, but this experience was anything but.

I ran something over on my way into work and it was clearly visible in my tire. I stopped by Belle Tire in West Chicago right at 8:00 AM when they opened, and they got me in immediately. I was back at work by 9:00 AM! Quick and friendly service — and the best part, they repaired the tire for free! Thank you, Belle Tire! Highly recommend!
