  Wow. Just wow. I stopped into the Waterway in Vernon Hills 11/25 because I was simply looking for a spot to purchase some scratch off lotto tickets. Honestly, I know this sounds odd but I drive past it daily and just felt today was the day. First thing that really struck me was how incredibly clean the store was. I literally stood at the door for a moment appreciating the level of cleanliness and attention to detail. I am a naturally chatty person but I had a death in the family last night and was asking the staff about taking the surviving cat. This started a hilarious, witty, upbeat conversation between myself, Rachel & David. I expressed to Rachel how impressive her store was and how much I value cleanliness and team morale. I also applauded all 3 employees for really truly making my day. I needed to laugh. I needed real human interaction, no fake bs. This was all BEFORE I scratched my tickets. I must also give a shout out to the mystery man covering the shift from another location. He was very patient and helpful with the lotto tickets I bought. I never buy scratch offs over $5 BUT there was a $10 ticket just begging me to buy it. I spent a total of $18. Tipped the gentleman $1 and told him to share with David & Rachel. Now for my lotto results- The $10 won $100!!!! The other total winnings were $25 I won $125 ($107 considering I spent $18) So in closing, THANK YOU SO MUCH Rachel & team. Just a simple 5 minute visit really had a huge impact on me. Nothing fancy, just real talk with real people. And laughter. I needed this experience for my mental health and to remember that despite the current chaos, there are wonderful, helpful kind people in this world. I will not forget today.   I have never had an experience at a Carwash like I did yesterday and this carwash. The guy at the front explained all the different packages available and the gentleman that was cleaning cars at the end was incredible. My car was dirty, there was a film on the inside of the window and he spent at least 20 minutes in the chilly weather making sure my car looked like new. I highly recommend this location

  Our usual car wash was closed today so we decided to give waterway a visit. We were very unhappy with the experience. When they told us that the car was ready, we were kind of in awe. They finished a little too fast. We paid for the whole thing and then we also paid for the eight dollar rubber mat power washing experience. We were told that the seats in the interior would be wiped down the dashboard and everything but when we got in the car, it honestly didn’t have that much of a difference. There were still like small bits of trash in the crevices, and the seat seats weren’t wiped down as promised. The exterior wash was pretty good, but that’s pretty easy to do. Typical gas station wash experience that you'd pay 5 dollars for.

  I went to Waterway Carwash yesterday and was very dissapointed. Before I got in the wash area I had to endure a lengthly diabtibe from an employee who tried to get me to get every service they offered when all I wanted was an exterior and interior wash. When I finally had my car washed the quality was poor and the employees left a pile of rags on my hood and walked away. Fortunately, there are other car washes in the area.
