Once in motion, I called several places and waited horrific amounts of time or certain service providers never picked up, but Advance Auto Parts did and Todd was extremely helpful to my particular situation. The second time I called in he said to come for the battery in 1/2 hr and once I arrived he was ready. We discussed how the manufacturer placed the incorrect battery into the car and that sometimes happens he said, so he promptly put the correct one in my car and I was on my way to having a much better day! Thank you Advance Auto Parts and thank you Todd!

He was so kind and showed an incredible amount of integrity when selling me the part. I would recommend him above anyone else!! His knowledge of my automobile surpassed my expectations and he didn't upsell me or give me any advice that wasn't true. I will continue coming here as long as he is working due to his incredible knowledge, advice, and integrity when speaking to customers. I can't thank him enough for the service he gave me!!!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
