    I'm just a little old lady (77) taking over responsibilities from my husband who can no longer handle these tasks. At the 11th & Jefferson St, Spfd ILLINOIS location, my Technician, Ray, treated me with respect. He didn't mansplaon anything. I left feeling confident that I (and my car) was safe. I'll be going back for ALL my automotive needs!

    I cannot say enough about this place! My brakes went out when I came to town, thankfully I made it there safely. Upon arrival the team instantly jumped into action. Explained my brakes just went out coming into town and I'm not from the area and I need to be able to get back home today. Very quickly they figured out how to get my car in the shop as my emergency brake wouldn't release. Calls were made and they did everything they could to try to get me out the door that day. Unfortunately due to a part not being available they was not able to get me my car that day but had the part ordered and finished it first thing Monday when the part was recieved. Hands down some of the best service I've recieved anywhere!!! So happy I came to this place, quick efficient honest, and reasonable. Even tho its a drive for me I plan on this being my new service place. You can't beat great help! And its worth the drive for me! Thanks R.J and boys, you guys are great at what you do and wonderful entertainment for a stressful situation!

    Great off the wall experience. The people there where very helpful. RJ was very knowledgeable and helpful in fixing my family's vehicles, if not able to fix, RJ has pointed me in the right direction every time.

    Richard the manager @ the E. Jefferson St. location has gone above and beyond in finding the oil leak in my car and making sure it was repaired correctly. Of all the shops I've been to over the years he is probably the best manager I have delt with.

    I never write negative reviews but I had a rough experience with the Jefferson location. Took it in to get my AC compressor replaced. First they call me saying it’ll be ready in 20 mins at 8:30 at night, so I head over there. During this, Richard informed us he was waiting for his other coworker to pull up and we waited for over an hour for the coworker to show up, and for them to finish. They “finish” and my AC is still not working and he says he just needs to fill it with more Freon and come back tomorrow. I could of waited the next day to even come get my car. Came back the next day, says it won’t take long to get done. While pulling the car in, my boyfriend noticed something on the bottom was not connected properly so he informed them. It should have been connected the day before. While we were waiting, there was another gentleman in there waiting and ended up speeding off mad because of the service. At some point, he says there is a leak in my hoses and he can’t figure out how or why. This leak was not there before I took my car in. He thinks he fixes it after two hours of waiting, and claims that my AC was better. It was still blowing warm air. We just agreed and left because we were done at this point. Said if it doesn’t work again, come back in and he’ll warrant out the AC compressor and try again. I had a feeling something wasn’t done right so I ended up taking it to the other Car-X on Linton for a second opinion. Turns out, they didn’t put any seals on the hoses and that’s why my Freon was leaking out, making my AC not work. Spent $820 + another $300+ just for another location to finish their work. Maybe they’re overworked and understaffed, but I will not return to this location again and I have been going to that location for a few years now. I was also told later down the road that they’re not allowed to work on ACs anymore because I was not the only one who had issues with this. I asked for a refund on at least the amount I spent with the other location, I was told by corporate and the manager, Richard, that I would be getting that amount refunded plus a little more. It has been nearly two months and I have not seen that refund. I provided all my receipts to the Jefferson store. This is my last ditch effort to receive my refund as promised. Shoutout to the linton location for taking care of me in just a few hours. My AC is working really well after seeing them and have returned to that location for a different repair.
