- PPpvillagomez226 days ago1.0Terrible customer service from the team and GM Matt!!!! I took my car battery to them 3 days ago and was told it would take 4 -24hrs for the charge. I called the next day to see if it was ready, was told it was not to call back. Called the following day and was told another 24 hrs because it was not charging. Called Today was told it was not ready and if I was not happy to come pick it up. So I did, there I meet with the GM Matt, he said did nothing to help told me the battery might be bad and they don’t charge batteries over night. I explained they had my battery for 3 days and I have made several calls . Told me to wait 30 minutes and can test battery. I told him it was ok and left. I took my battery cross the street to O’Relillys and they gave me great customer service. They tested my battery and in 1:30 the battery was fully charged. Thank you O’Reillys for great service and Advace please do better.
- MSMartin SanchezDec 5, 20251.0This store made me drive an hour and a half told me mt prospect had my car part just to get there and be told otherwise.. waited all day was supposed to get a call from Fabian to be told he didn’t check his emails cause he was busy so much for valuing a loyal customer that even took the time to drive and give you guys business been waiting for some kind of resolution or atleast anything about me trying to get my car part… from customer service to sales clerk people really don’t care so messed will continue to search for a mirror and I will never go to oreilys again nor recommend you guys to everyone like i do smh

She called over and made sure someone put their hands on them so I didn't waste a trip. Great customer service. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
