Hello,
My husband and I were car shopping. Taking our time no rush. Previous to going to this location. We had a bad experience with salespeople at other places . So when my husband found a car here. I told him to go on his own first. Upon immediately arriving it was a very cold day and he called to say the car was waiting for him running and clean and stated how kind the salesperson was. I then joined my husband. The salesman Mr. Breon Williams was more than kind very respectful and gave us all the time and space we needed. He had the car cleaned again while processing the paperwork! If you want a good experience and no stress buying! He’s the guy!!! Thank you again Breon! I greatly appreciate all you did for us !!! Ps: even the manager stopped to congratulate us on our purchase. It just felt like the good old customer service!!! They treat you like people and not $$
Bart in service is a complete jerk, and blatantly and aggressively insulted my husband who was simply trying to ensure our 2022 hybrid Camry was safe to drive ourselves and our children. The gas cap appeared to be leaking gas spontaneously (a known issue with this exact model). The surface of the car near the gas tank had visual streaks of gasoline on the outside of the car. Instead of listening to our valid concerns and questions about a flammable liquid leaking out the side of the car, he implied that we are “probably overfilling our gas tank” which is causing gas to leak from the tank opening. That is just absurd and so entitled for them to blame the customer for trying to induce intentional risk to the safety of our family. Despite my husband trying to tell him we fill our tank until the nozzle clicks off to then inquire about if there is a possible sensor issue with gas level, he instantly flipped out and speaking to my husband like he was a child, refusing to actually listen to our concerns about if it’s safe to drive our car with our small children as it is visibly LEAKING GASOLINE.
Mike is the supposed manager who was completely aware of the disrespectful conduct did absolutely nothing and also supported the accusation that we the customer are the problem and provided no help in resolving our cars SAFETY issue. You didn’t charge us for the diagnostic test, so that gives you grounds to talk to us with such utter disrespect?? I would bet that every single staff member here should take some courses in customer service and common sense if this is the conduct that management can witness and have zero issue with. It is unacceptable for anyone in the service industry to speak to people who are looking for resolution to ensure the safety of their product with such disgusting conduct. This has nothing to do with a difference of opinion. It is about the unprofessionalism and entitled conduct of the staff.
Additionally, we were told an additional diagnostic test could not be run on a full tank of gas, so that we had to come back after “burning some gas”. This response was just mind blowingly incompetent. Never once did these “service professionals” offer to siphon some gas to be able to complete the diagnostic tests required to come to a complete conclusion and confirm the safety of the car that could possibly be leaking gasoline, a flammable substance. A competent service person would have at least offered that as a resolution to get some answers today rather than suggesting that a customer drives off in a car that visibly has gas leaking out of the gas cap, and risk their safety. I cannot think of anything short of insane that Bart the service person would have the nerve to ask if we knew how gravity works? It is evident to me that he doesn’t understand basic high school physics, or fluid dynamics, maybe air pressure on the surface of a liquid?? But this guy is responsible for ensuring proper service and safety for Toyotas in this area. Good luck to us all.
If you have any common sense or respect for yourself please DO NOT service your car here unless you wish to be disrespected and insulted. Go to Arlington heights or quite literally ANY OTHER dealer.
Whoever is the general manager for Schaumburg Toyota should be highly concerned at the incompetence and sheer disrespectful conduct of their staff. Although his lack of accountability in his response to my husbands review doesn’t give me any confidence that anything will be handled appropriately here. He chalked the entire thing up to a “difference of opinion”. Bart all but threatened my husband because he just wanted to know if the car was safe to drive with gasoline LEAKING from the tank. I am very happy to take our concerns to a different dealer who has already told us to come in immediately so they can siphon out the fuel from the tank and complete the diagnostic testing to ensure the SAFETY of our vehicle and all passengers in it. This dealership should be ashamed and embarrassed that they conduct themselves in this manner.

Bart is horrible with customer service especially if you try ask questions about a car leaking gas.
Talking with him at first with the issue he seemed reasonable. Mentioned this is multiple times Im in with this same problem once with a dealership out of state and then this at least the 2nd time I was in this Schaumburg location. Told me he didnt see any record of this, so he couldn't speak on any of the other service. We agreed to go ahead with the service and asked him where the manager was since it wasn't his fault, but I said its crazy that there is no previous records. Mike the manager looked and couldn't really see previous reports either, which to me is strange and crazy.
After the service is when Bart completely flipped and became extra rude. Told me their tests came up with nothing. I was telling him I see multiple things with this same issue with this same issue online and even saw a recall for fuel issue for 22 Camry Hybrids. He was saying that there are no previous service codes on now or previously stored and that recall doesn't show up for my VIN.
Continuing to ask to figure out if my car is safe to drive since their is physical gas leaking from the tank, which could spark a fire. He then tells me do you understand gravity because if I did I would know gas cant come out the tank. (If a car sitting and gas is over flowing on the side of the car which I have pics of, pressure could absolutely push a liquid up). Told him what he saying is completely uncalled for and he escalating things when we talking trying to figure out whats going on and if the car is safe. I asked the number they gave me and he wouldnt give me any information when asking about the national toyota number, all he said was we dont deal with that you have to call and figure it out.
As I was walking out I was saying this is fricking ridiculous, guess he couldnt hear me but then turns around aggressively to me saying what did I say to him. Told him what I said and said let's go talk with the manager. Spoke with Mike again and we went over everything and only got a sorry from him when say I deserved and apology from him for being completely rude and escalating things. Its just wild to me that questioning a fire hazard issue could turn to that.
Reply to your Response: Please do inform me of the difference in perspective and sequences that would warrant the disrespect and comments he made. Its interesting to me that his name comes up in other poor reviews mentioning the same disrespect. Also, I did speak with other toyota reps about not being able to preform the test because my gas levels were too high. Their immediate response was why didn't they ask to syphon some gas out so that they could run the tests needed.
I would strongly advise caution when dealing with Toyota Schaumburg
After purchasing my vehicle,I discovered that an additional brake service warranty had been added to my loan without my clear understanding or consent. The documentation connected to this add-on includes an email address that is not mine and the signature shown does not appear to match my own.
When I returned to the dealership to address this, I expected a clear explanation and resolution. Instead, I was met with vague responses and no accountability No one was able to clearly explain how this product was added under these circumstances
This experience raised serious concerns for me regarding transparency and how paperwork is handled during the financing process. I left feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously and that the situation was not handled properly.
I highly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here carefully review every single document, verify all add-ons, and do not rely on verbal explanations alone
