This morning around 7:20 AM, while driving to get coffee, my new Mercedes unexpectedly began malfunctioning and would not accelerate properly. Safety is extremely important to me especially in a brand-new vehicle that is fully under warranty so I immediately pulled over and contacted Mercedes-Benz of Romeoville.
Although I initially reached voicemail for the Service Manager, within moments their team proactively returned my call to make sure I was taken care of. That level of attentiveness alone spoke volumes.
When I arrived at the dealership, they were fully prepared for me. Despite being completely booked and having nearly all loaner vehicles already assigned for the day, the Service Manager and staff quite literally made a way. They moved mountains to secure transportation for me so I could safely get back and forth to work.
I was in and out in under 20 minutes.
That is operational excellence.
That is leadership.
That is customer-first service.
In a moment that could have been stressful and inconvenient, they turned it into an experience defined by professionalism, urgency, and care.

Had a few family members that purchased A few vehicles from this location would that being said I dropped off a GoFundMe for my son who at 26 was diagnosed with stage four cancer and had asked if they could donate, didn’t receive a phone call back. I reached out to Arlind the general manager at the Romeoville location and he said that they were broke nobody’s buying any cars and they could not donate. I find this very upsetting for 1 they sell cars a lot of cars. Where is this man’s heart at? it’s sad a general manager couldn’t donate at least five bucks to a GoFundMe when all the other car dealerships donated something in the area shame on him. I hope he never needs anything for his children.

Beware that when you schedule service online, you will be placed to the back of the queue regardless of whether your appointment was confirmed or not. My appointment was confirmed 48 hours prior to when I traveled 5 hours from Michigan for this service, and was completely blown off by the same person who I spoke on the phone with. I was told that because I made my appointment online, that my car was in the “back of the line” and couldn’t be done the day it was scheduled. So not only did they waste 5+ hours of my time, they were deceitful in practice.
In addition, the service advisors will also do whatever they can to not honor website coupons, make excuses, and handle you with total apathy. I don’t know how this place has the reviews it does, unless they faked those too.
For MB service, find an independent shop, Plainfield has a couple of great ones.
