You can't afford it!" - Now maybe this was his attempt at humor, but there was an uncomfortable silence for a few seconds after. Guy didn't crack a smile, so I'm thinking he was serious and expected me to leave. But I stayed and asked for an estimate on my bumper. He told me his computer was down and would give me a call back. That was 9 am, and as of 4:15 pm, still no phone call. Hey old timer, guess what? I'm a software developer and could fix any troubles that your pc and whatever db interface that your having problems with. Guess what again? you can't afford it.
